This may sound elaborate but don't be fooled!  The facilities we have within the Church are modest.  However, most of our basic administration is carried out from here.  A weekly intimation sheet is produced ready for Sunday mornings (you'll find some of this under Church Notices) and a quarterly Church Magazine, The Reformer, is also produced.  

Like any other Church of the Church of Scotland, Westwood Church is managed in its financial matters by its Congregational Board.  The Congregational Board is a group of 25 Elders and 25 Ordinary members of the Church who meet together every second month to ensure the smooth running of everyday matters.

The Kirk Session comprises of Elders alone.  Elders are men and women who have been Ordained, or specially set apart through prayer, to take up the responsibilities of this office. The Elders are there to attend to the spiritual life of the congregation.  Elders meet together every second month as the Kirk Session led by the Minister.
