One Voice

No one would dispute that it is a good thing when community comes together to speak with One Voice.

One Voice is exactly that; community coming together in order to be heard.

In this instance it is the voice of residents who object to the decision of South Lanarkshire Council to close community facilities namely; Red Deer Bowling Club and Centre and Westwood Community Hall.

Following an open meeting of Westwood Community Council on Thursday 28th September a sub-group was formed which has now been christened “One Voice“. This new sub-group is determined to see that community is not impoverished by the absence of facilities.

Westwood Church is pleased to support the work of One Voice through our internet and email facilities and in other ways too if we can. You may want to support One Voice as well. Signing up to the One Voice email newsletter is a good place to start. One Voice will keep you up to date on progress and inform you of any action you can take to support the retention of community facilities.
