One Voice

No one would dispute that it is a good thing when community comes together to speak with One Voice.

One Voice is exactly that; community coming together in order to be heard.

In this instance it is the voice of Westwood residents who object to the decision of South Lanarkshire Council to close community facilities namely; Red Deer Bowling Club and Centre and Westwood Community Hall.

Following an open meeting of Westwood Community Council on Thursday 28th September a sub-group was formed which has now been christened “One Voice” representing those who use these community facilities and those who are determined not to see community impoverished by the absence of facilities.

The next meeting of One Voice is scheduled for Thursday 12 October to take place in Westwood Parish Church Sanctuary at 7pm. The meeting is open to all interested persons and in particular to representatives of organisation who use, or might wish to use, community facilities in the future.

If you want to catch up on what has been discussed so far you can download a copy of Minutes from the meeting of 28th September as a PDF file or clicking the link will open the file in a new browser tab.
